BUYER GUIDE

Understand the auction before you bid

Indigo Private Auctions is a controlled trade-buyer service for mixed retail-return and clearance lots. Approved companies see the information, costs and access level relevant to them, then bid using an individual, auditable login.

Demonstration status: the current environment uses synthetic trial accounts and lots. Email sending, payment collection, settlement, collection release and courier booking are not active.

The six-step buyer journey

The system is designed to make the commercial decision clear before a binding bid is accepted.

1

Company approval

Indigo checks the legal entity, authorised users and the access route appropriate for the stock your company can handle.

2

Review the lot

Read the quantity, condition, testing status, RRP basis, defects, pallet space, closing time and any restrictions.

3

Price transport

Enter your delivery postcode. The quote is shown before bidding and preserved with an accepted bid. Quoting never books a courier.

4

Choose a bid

Use a confidential maximum bid or place an absolute bid. The lot's fixed increment applies to both methods.

5

Accept the terms

The current auction, payment, transport and, where required, restricted-stock terms are accepted on every bid.

6

Close and fulfil

One result is recorded. The winner has 48 hours for cleared payment and seven calendar days after payment to arrange transport.

Two approval routes, one controlled system

STANDARD INVENTORY

General Buyer

For approved companies buying standard, non-restricted technology lots. Restricted lots are filtered out and blocked again at bid time.

RESTRICTED INVENTORY

GDPR-Approved Buyer

For separately verified organisations able to handle data-bearing equipment and the associated data, sanitisation and compliant waste responsibilities.

Maximum bid or absolute bid?

Maximum bid

  • Your ceiling remains confidential.
  • The system advances only as needed in the fixed lot increment.
  • An earlier equal maximum keeps priority.

Absolute bid

  • Your full entered amount is applied immediately.
  • An earlier higher maximum may automatically counter it.
  • Use it only when you intend the full amount to become the visible price.

Questions buyers usually ask

Does a transport quote book a courier?

No. It records a versioned price for the delivery postcode and pallet space. Courier booking is disabled.

Can General Buyers see restricted lots?

No. Restricted lots are removed from the General catalogue and the bid transaction checks the entitlement again.

Are other bidders' maximums shown?

No. Maximum bids and bidder identities are confidential. Only the information authorised for your account is returned.

Do labels on physical stock imply endorsement?

No. Indigo is the seller and auction operator. Third-party labels or references do not imply sponsorship, approval, warranty or a direct buyer relationship.
